Palace of Westminster to Open for Weddings...

The Palace of Westminster has had it's doors shut to the public and has been viewd as a 'members club' for some time...  Now, the Palace of Westminster will open around 15 rooms to the public for weddings, parties & celebrations reports 'The Mail'

The rooms that will become available this December will include the historic Churchill Dinning Room and the Terrace Pavilion overlooking the Thames.

The Commons will offer the rooms on a two year experimental basis to the public.  The members’ dining room and Jubilee Room already have licenses for weddings, so for the first time it will be possible to have both the ceremony and the reception there.

The Commons Chamber will not be available for functions.

Prices are due to be set in the Autumn.
