We all like a bit of wedding cake (as long as it's not fruit!) and something we are seeing alot of now, and is setting a very big trend, is an 'open naked wedding cake'.

Basically it's a wedding cake without all the bells & whistles and layers of icing.  very rustic looking, very scrummy.. and..... you get to see what the filling is that you're eating!

Jessica Ennis Marries Childhood Sweetheart...

Jessica Ennis tied the knot to childhood sweetheart 'Andy Hill' last weekend in an intimate Derbyshire ceremony.

The pair have been together for eight years and got engaged Xmas eve of 2010.  The plans for the wedding had been on hold whilst Jessica trained and competed in the Olympics.

As you can see from the stunning Monique Lhuillier wedding dress, Jessica look every bit the pitcure perfect bride.

Mr & Mrs 'Example' Tie the Knot in Australia...

British singer and wrapper, 'Example' (real name Elliot Gleave),  married former Miss Australia, Erin McNaught, yesterday in Brisbane.

In front of a small number of family and friends they tied the knot at the Deux Belettes guesthouse in Ballina, Brisbane.

Tweeting earlier today.. Elliot tweeted the following on his page: 'THIS happened yesterday. Will post some more pics for you guys in a bit.' posting the picture below for all to see.

Cheese Wedding Cakes...

Back in the day the traditional wedding cake was three tiered and made of fruit cake..... yum!  No one ate it and you ended up with more cake left over than you could imagine.  Over the years there has been new ideas, inspirations, fillings and designs which has meant that the good old fruit cake has been put on the back burner.

Something we're seeing a lot of at the moment is a cheese wedding cake... and to be honest.... it works! :)

What more could you want...  A big stack of your favorite cheeses, plates of various crackers... job done!  Guests will hoover this up more than the old fruit cake and the best thing is... it can work out a fair bit cheaper. :)

These designs from 'Yorkshire Dales Cheese Company' are truly stunning and as good looking as any wedding cake.

Mariah Carey Shuts Down Disneyland to Renew Vows...

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon took over Disneyland in California to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows.

Taking over Magic Kingdom park on Tuesday the 30th, Mariah arrived in a Cinderella style carriage to her prince, Nick Cannon.  Also in attendance were their twins, Monroe & Moroccan, celebrating their 2nd birthday.
